Taikinalaiva - Dough Ship

This is a teaser clip of our big animation project in school. It’s made by eight Finnish second year 3D students' group at the Metropolia. We started this project in fall 2009. The story is about a ship made of dough and sweets. The captain and the sailor are also made of sweet treats like marzipan, bun and waffles. The main characters are searching a treasure, but then a little chipmunk like creature comes to the ship and everything starts to fall apart.

The movie still hasn't got a proper name, but it's working name is "Taikinalaiva" (Dough Ship).

Betty Boop in 3D

This was our biggest task in the end of the first school year at the Metropolia. The task was to make a short animation with at least two characters in interaction. I created this using 3ds Max and edited it with Adobe Premier. Sounds are from freesound.org

I love Betty Boop, and she seemed to be a fun character to animate. :) The modeling of her with 3ds Max took some time. The rest (animating, settings etc.) just took about four days to make. The sounds were added later.

This animation was shown on Sopiva Shops Window Animation Festival.
